Across our nurseries, we believe in building strong, meaningful relationships between children, parents, and educators through our Key Person Approach.
Personalised care through our Key Person Approach
Every child has a dedicated Key Person who acts as their primary carer and main point of contact, carefully planning activities based on each child’s individual interests. Using our secure Interactive Learning Diary (ILD), we share photos, videos and observations with parents to celebrate progress and strengthen the home-nursery partnership.
Why is the Key Person important?
Emotional security
Your child’s Key Person helps them feel safe, valued, and supported throughout their nursery journey. This strong bond helps them build confidence and independence.
Individualised care
They get to know your child’s personality, interests and developmental needs, tailoring activities to nurture their learning and growth.
Parent partnership
The Key Person works closely with families, providing updates, sharing milestones, and addressing any concerns to create a consistent experience between home and nursery.

Settling-in sessions
We understand that starting nursery is a big step for both children and parents. That’s why we offer personalised settling-in sessions to make the transition as smooth and comfortable as possible.
What to expect during settling-in sessions

Introduction to the environment
Your child will explore their new surroundings with the support of their Key Person, discovering the fun and engaging activities our nursery offers.

Gradual separation
Sessions are designed to ease your child into nursery life at their own pace. Parents are welcome to stay during the initial sessions and gradually step back as your child gains confidence.

Tailored support
We adapt the number and length of settling-in sessions based on your child’s unique needs and comfort level.
