Since 1995, we have been providing high-quality childcare, welcoming children from their earliest days and helping them grow into confident, curious learners, ready to head off to school.

About Us

All of our nurseries are registered as Forest Schools which maximises the learning potential of local woodlands or our own wilderness gardens through regular visits throughout the year.

We offer flexible sessions to suit the needs of busy families, whether you require full days, part days, or extended hours through our Breakfast and Evening Clubs.

Both of our sons attend the nursery, and we’ve had a really great experience. When I looked around nurseries before choosing our setting, they all seemed very similar, but when I got to Castle I was struck by how friendly and welcoming it was and I knew it was the right place for us. The team are great with the children and have fantastic bonds. The way they settle them when they move up the rooms works well. I feel they are cared for well and the staff comfort them on the occasions they have felt a bit uncertain at drop-off. Going to Forest School is great too. We couldn’t be happier with our choice.

I cannot recommend Castle Nursery Markenfield highly enough. The staff go above and beyond to care for my children and genuinely care about all the children. The manager is excellent, helpful and happy to talk and has always been supportive. We had recently relocated to the area when my eldest began and we have made some great friends with other parents thanks to social events organised by the nursery for parents and also additional events for the children.

We have been so impressed with Castle Nursery in all the time our son has been attending since he was around 13 months. All the staff are fantastic and consistently provide a happy, fun and caring environment for the children. We cannot recommend Castle Nursery, Shamley Green highly enough! When our son started attending (5 days/week) aged 11 months, the team were reassuring and supportive during this transition, he settled in well and couldn’t be happier there. The Nursery fosters a caring and inclusive environment through its team (who are all lovely!). The setting provides a wide range of indoor & outdoor activities, a well thought through ‘curriculum’ and a nutritious and varied menu throughout the week. Communication from the Nursery to parents is proactive and clear. We couldn’t ask for more from a Nursery.
